Around 8,000 people packed into Ledbury town centre on Bank Holiday Monday for the "Royal Pageant" Carnival.
The good-natured crowd enjoyed a stream of hits from the Queen B tribute band and rockers Red Alert, while youngsters queued up for soft slides in St Katherine's car park, including Mickey's Magic Castle.
Carnival chairman Steve Clegg blamed the uncertain weather for the slight decline in crowd numbers, which was around 2,000 down on last year. But he added: "The day itself was fine."
The carnival was the biggest and most spectacular since the event was relaunched in 1974. There were 30 entries, including ten floats.
In keeping with Jubilee year, Ledbury crowned its own monarchs. Carnival King was former town crier Mike Evans while the Carnival Queen was charity worker Doris Mitton.
Organisers say the future of the event is secure for another year after 40 local business and sponsors rallied round in answer to an appeal. A street collection on carnival day was also well supported.
