A FRESH appeal for eyewitnesses has been launched by police investigating the fatal accident that took place on Leigh Sinton Road on Monday, August 19.
Officers are keen to trace two drivers seen flashing their lights as they drove away from the scene of the collision, which claimed the life of 55-year-old Jean Cowell, of Leigh .
Spokesman Kim Stain said: "We're launching a fresh appeal for witnesses as we haven't had anyone come forward who was there at the time of the collision."
She added that anyone who saw either of the vehicles, a blue VW Polo or a red Rover 214, before the accident took place at around 3.30pm should also come forward.
A yellow, metal sign advertising the witness appeal was stolen on Wednesday despite having been padlocked to a telegraph pole near the crash site. Ms Stain said the theft may have had a bearing on the lack of witnesses.
Any witnesses should contact police on 01905 723888 quoting c/615723.
