JOHN Phillpott writes of his cultural pigsty (Evening News, August 19).
It reminds me of my flat. On the wall over my gas fire, I have blue-tacked photos of family and friends, some hippos and an oran-utan, Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot and a starving African.
There are also photos (sent for personally) of Anne Ford, Sian Williams, Francine Stock, Fiona Bruce, Sophie Raworth, Tanya Beckett, Sue Beardsmore, Shefali Oza, Llewella Bailey, Nina Nannar and Pam Rhodes.
Oddly enough, I don't have on display a photo of Shirley Bassey, though I have more than 30 of her LP records.
GEORGE COWLEY,
Worcester.
