I READ with interest the report about the amount of dog waste that has been left and not picked up along the canal towpath and walkways in Worcester.
I have recently written to the council and Councillor Derek Prodger asking to have additional dog bins installed along the canal towpath by Gregory Mill Street.
I have been informed that due to insufficient funds, and the need to dispose of the waste 13 miles away at Hill & Moor, a round trip of more than one hour, the council feels at this time unable to increase the 100-plus bins. It believes the money could be used in other ways.
Do these other means include the installation of four new towpath gates between Gregory Mill top lock and Flagge Meadow Field?
