Worcestershire are fighting an uphill battle in their Second Eleven Championship match at Northamptonshire despite a century from Steve Moore.

Northants, after being put in, made 323-9 declared with the County's most productive bowler being paceman Duncan Catterall, who claimed 3-72.

Worcestershire were all out for 144 in their reply and followed on 179 behind.

They closed last night on 254-7 - a lead of 75.

Their tally was boosted by 109 from Moore, who hit 17 fours off 123 balls, while Philip Weston made 53.
