A MAN remains in a critical condition after he suffered severe head injuries outside a house in Leominster.

Jonathan Lawrence, aged 29, is being treated for his injuries at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Birmingham.

Leyland Barrington, aged 31, from Leominster has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident. He appeared before Hereford Magistrates on Saturday, August 24, and is due to appear again today.

A warrant of further detention was granted for the three other men arrested in connection with the assault.

Meanwhile, a woman who suffered 50 per cent burns after a fire at a service station is in a critical but stable condition.

The woman was discovered on fire at the Forest Service Station on Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove, on Thursday, August 15.

She is being treated in the intensive care unit at Selly Oak Hospital.

A three-year old boy who suffered severe burns during a house fire in Kidderminster is described as "stable".

A woman in her 30s also remains in a critical but stable condition after the fire in the mid-terrace house on Usmere Road.

The boy suffered 40 per cent severe burns from the waist down.

The woman suffered 60 per cent burns and severe injury to her air passage.
