THE circus came to Redditch this week as managers from the new Debenhams store entertained the crowds as part of a team-building day.
There were people dressed as circus animals and performers, stunning fire-eating displays, balloon modelling and children's face painting.
Money raised throughout yesterday's event is to go towards the Redditch Citizens' Advice Bureau and St Stephen's Church.
A Debenhams spokesman said: "When we open a new store we hold a team-building day for managers.
"It's a way of setting them a challenge and giving something back to the community."
The managers only discovered what their challenge would be the previous day and then received fire-eating training.
