A NEW company hopes to cash in on consumers' desire for home delivery - and support local producers at the same time.
Bredon Foods Direct is a home delivery service sourcing products from specialist producers throughout the two counties.
Owners Mike Andrews and Helen Coles believe there is a growing demand for good quality food delivered to the door.
"At the same time, consumers are becoming increasingly active in trying to support their local producers," said Mr Andrews.
"Producers, on the other hand, continue to look for alternative supply channels in response to the dominance of the multiples."
The company, based at Bricklehampton, near Pershore, offers more than 450 products including dairy, desserts, bakery, preserves, snacks, drinks, fresh produce and meats.
The business will operate through agents responsible for recruiting their own customers.
Initial plans are for the company to start in Worcestershire and Warwickshire.
"As committed 'foodies', we can't think of anything half as fun as being able to offer a 'deli on wheels' service.
"It will be the first of it's kind in the UK," added Mr Andrews.
