INKBERROW has clinched the runner-up spot in the larger villages category of the Worcestershire Best Kept Village competition.
The competition was organised by the county branch of the Council for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE).
Belbroughton was this year's larger villages champion, Hanley Castle won the small villages title, with Aldington as runner-up, and Pebworth won the medium villages class, pushing Shrawley into the runner-up spot.
Rosemary Roberts, competition organiser on behalf of Worcestershire CPRE, said standards were once again excellent and the judges were impressed to see the extent and variety of millennium projects undertaken by villagers.
The awards will be presented on October 19.
