ALCESTER's £1.5 million revamped Somerfield has been officially opened by the Mayor, Ron Leek, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newlook High Street store, which has also created 30 jobs, reopened on Wednesday after a complete redecoration and expansion.
Store manager John Houston said: "We're very pleased with our new look and I'm confident our customers will be delighted."
The store is also extending opening hours and has put on a variety of events which will end in a food demonstration by celebrity chef James Martin, on August 31.
