A THOUGHTFUL Rubery hairdresser has organised a day trip to Weston-Super-Mare for her elderly customers and also hopes to rake in cash for terminally ill children.

Geraldine Galea, aged 42, runs the GG Salon, in Mr B's Market, New Road.

She has planned an outing to the seaside for her clients and any cash left over from ticket sales, once expenses have been covered, will go to the Acorns Children's Hospice.

Already she has £190 in the kitty and the Selly Oak resident is planning a raffle on the coach today (Wednesday) when the 49 fun-seekers head for the coast.

"I wanted to organise something for my regular ladies and raise cash for a worthy cause," said Geraldine.

"Kings Norton Coaches is providing us with transport at a reduced rate and I'm hoping we shall have a wonderful day and collect a reasonable amount of cash to help Acorns."
