FIVE Ways Old Edwardians lost the leadership of the Warwickshire League Division Four West after a losing draw to fourth placed Handsworth at the weekend.
Chris Jones' side picked up just nine points from the match but with nearest rivals Bridge Trust restricted to a winning draw against basement boys Four Oaks, Old Eds trail by just one point with two to play.
And with both games against sides in the bottom four, the Masshouse side are still in a promising position.
Five Ways visit fourth from bottom Erdington Court on Saturday (1pm start) before facing third from bottom Aston Old Edwardians in their final fixture and Jones will want to win both fixtures.
But Bridge Trust have to face Handsworth at the weekend and the fourth place side finish their season against a third placed Weoley Hill side just four points behind Old Edwardians.
"We should do well in the next two games and be there or thereabouts," said Jones.
"Our fate is in our hands more than our rivals because they have to play each other and will hopefully drop points."
