SET in the middle of the Second World War, Enigma follows code breakers at the top British intelligence station, Bletchley Park.
Dougray Scott stars as the super-intelligent mathematician Tom Jericho, who is brought in to the park to break new codes recently changed by the German High Command.
But the team of eggheads, headed by Jericho, needs to crack this code before a massive ship convoy, with vital supplies for Britain, is intercepted by German U-boats in the Atlantic.
And, as if he didn't have enough to do, Jericho has got himself involved with a conspiracy of espionage within the park.
Claire (Saffron Burrows), a code breaker at the park, has mysteriously disappeared with the only clues to finding her being hidden in the Enigma code.
The problem is that Jericho has fallen head over heels in love with her and wants her back, so he enrols the help of Claire's best friend Hester (Kate Winslet).
This is not a film to relax to, so get the coffee on and don't blink.
