THE players were put through a video nasty on Monday morning to see how the weekend points were thrown away at Rushden and Diamonds.

Boss Ian Britton wanted to give them a full picture of how their chances of victory went downhill at sunny Nene Park.

Britton said: "It's the simple things we are doing wrong and we have to put a stop to it immediately.

"It wasn't a session where everyone sat around and blamed one another. When you're playing, you don't tend to see the full picture as you tend to concentrate on your own game.

"The video gave me a chance to highlight where they are going wrong.

"To be fair to the lads they were superb in training on Monday. They know they threw the game away on Saturday and they're upset.

"They want to avenge that defeat against Exeter at the weekend."

The Harriers boss, three games into the new season, said after the game on Saturday: "It comes down to the two boxes.

"One end we didn't defend well and at the other end we didn't put the chances away. How many times do they want telling?

"But even when Broughton got sent off for a spell of half-an-hour we probably played our best football and created two or three chances. So even down to 10 men, they weren't better than us."

The squad has not changed much from last season and Britton confessed: "We can't do anything about it when we haven't got the money.

"We can't bring anybody in so you have to carry on with what we've got."
