AFTER reading the Advertiser (August 7), I was appalled to hear the reaction from the Muslim community in Redditch.
It seems they want something for free in this town.
Why should the council inject money to their mosque when they refuse the terms and conditions that apply.
I am a chairman of a local club which is going through difficult times at present but when we approached the council as to regards changing our lease, they did not help us.
So why should the Muslim community feel it is their right for the council to help them?
We have not been offered any money by the council to save our club and to buy a stake in our land but we don't go shouting from the rooftops that this should be the case.
No-one is denying the Muslim community should not have a place to pray but they should achieve this fairly.
I do not like the council and the way they run the town but on this point, I have to agree with them. They got it right for a change.
Maybe they could now have a go with the bus service.
