MEMBERS of Worcester Twinning Association took to the streets to educate shoppers about the places the city is twinned with.

The association has been flying the flag of friendship between Worcester and its twin towns of Kleve, in Germany, Le Vesinet, in France, and Worcester, Massachusetts, in the US, for a number years.

They set up a stall in the CrownGate shopping centre packed with information about all three twin towns.

Members were on hand to talk to people about the social and cultural benefits of being involved in the association.

Nicky Neville-Lee, vice-chairman of the association, said they had an enjoyable day and were planning to do it again in the future.

"We'd realised that many people in Worcester didn't know who we were twinned with, so this was a good exercise.

"We talked to a lot of people, handed out a lot of leaflets and felt we had had a worthwhile day," she said.
