MALVERN'S Gill Lloyd lost in the quarter-finals of the National Express All-England Bowls Singles Championship at Royal Leamington Spa.
The Manor Park star faced England international Helen Wall and was soon in an 8-4 lead.
Wall, however, hit back with a full house of four and a double, edging ahead 10-8.
Lloyd tried to revive, but Wall was soon 14-9 ahead and the Derbyshire ace scored seven shots on the run in to power to a 21-12 victory.
