NOMADS got back on track with a needed and well-earned WCL Division Two win against high-flying Eastnor on Saturday.

WORCESTER NOMADS v EASTNOR

In a thoroughly entertaining game, Nomads came out on top by four runs in a very close finish.

The juniors in the Nomads team, Blake Raymond and Ollie Griffiths, both performed very well and are maturing quickly with each game. There was also a much welcomed return from Steve Bowman.

Bowman (40) and Raymond (52) featured in a middle innings stand which put the home side on track to setting a competitive score, 33 runs from Darren Lakin helped Nomads close on 225.

The visitors lost wickets regularly, with only Baker (55) building himself an innings. Shahid came to the wicket at 107-5 and with an excellent 69 shepherded the lower order towards the required target.

Griffiths removed Bollen and Vicarage, and Harris was run out to set up a tense finale.

With only five runs required Shahid was last out when he was bowled off his pads, to give Nomads the victory.
