I WILL not dwell on the inaccuracy in Dottie Friedli's letter last week when it was stated that a majority in Broadway had been in favour of a sliproad, rather I wish to correct the impression given that decisions on planning matters are made along party lines.
This most certainly is not the case; district council members reach their conclusions on applications in a totally independent manner.
Furthermore, Broadway's two district councillors have reflected the views of the parish council and residents on recent planning applications even though the outcomes, unfortunately, were not as we would have wished.

When five minutes of infamy is lifetime
IF I only had five minutes to live I would choose to muse over that perennial winge vis--vis the Broadway bypass. It would make that five minutes seem like a lifetime!
