GREEN-fingered residents in Broadway stunned judges in the village garden competition on Sunday.
Organiser Dave Roberts, of Broadway Gardening Club, said: "The main judge, Linda Roberts, who is the head gardener at Snowshill Manor, had a very hard job in choosing the winners because the standard was so very high."
The small garden prize went to Avryl Donovan, from Russell Terrace, the patio garden prize went to Colin Harris, of Bibsworth Avenue, the hanging baskets/container prize was won by Rod Folkes, the business premises prize went to Beales of Broadway, and the large garden prize was scooped by Michael Hicks, of Lifford Gardens.
Mr Roberts said £450 had been raised at a wine and cheese party on June 21 to help fund the annual Broadway show, which this year takes place on Saturday, September 14 on the village green.
