WITH Consignia being consigned to the dustbin of history, perhaps there will be an end to the sackings and redundancies of thousands of Post Office employees?
Alas, more job losses are planned, no doubt for Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley postal services also.
The senior management at national level have acted in the most stupid and reactionary way for years.
I do not want my mail delivered by TNT or FedEx, and I am willing to pay double the current cost of a first class stamp now to ensure the Post Office and its workforce flourish.
Local PO staff work very hard - they deserve better than the awful London-orientated national management they, and the public, have endured. Government should come out and say clearly - "no privatisation" .
