WYRE Forest Arts Forum's jubilee showcase exhibition has provided a watershed in the careers of a Bewdley art group whose members' work has gone on display for the first time.
Beginner artists ranging in age from 10 up to 91 have been honing their abilities with Bewdley Baptist Art Group and are now exhibiting watercolour paintings at Kidderminster Library as part of the month-long celebration of district art, which runs throughout June.
One of the group's leaders, Margaret Key, said: "We are all very excited by the prospect of this first exhibition.
"We think the public will enjoy seeing our pictures, which have a variety of subjects and painting styles. Everyone loves our Thursday night sessions in the church schoolroom because there is so much friendliness and mutual encouragement."
