DISTRICT schools are contributing to an exhibition in Worcester Cathedral based on events in every year of the Queen's reign.
Forty schools in the county were invited to research one year between 1952 and now.
The Queen's Golden Jubilee Time Line project aims to give a sense of the passing of time.
Cathedral spokeswoman Jean Armstrong said the response had been overwhelming and the result was a fascinating exhibition.
District schools taking part are Kidderminster schools St Ambrose RC Primary, St Barnabas CE Primary, St George's CE First, Franche First, Foley Park Primary, Marlpool First, Lickhill Middle, Stourport, Abberley Parochial and Stone First.
The range of topics covered include decimalisation in 1971, Live Aid in 1985 and the Queen's visit to Worcester in 2001.
The Dean of Worcester, the Very Rev Peter Marshall said: "By bringing to life particular events of the Queen's reign we hope that it will help the young minds of our communities to have the knowledge to make the jubilee a celebration they could enjoy and remember."
