STAFF and pupils at a Kidderminster school marked the Queen's golden anniversary with a difference by officially opening a new wood.
Jubilee Wood, which is based at St Mary's First School, currently numbers 63 trees but it is planned to continue adding to the wood in the months and years to come.
It was created with the help and advice of Bishops Wood Environmental Centre, Crossway Green.
The opening on Friday morning was followed by a variety of games, while staff and children dressed up in red, white and blue. From left, Thomas Mansell, Ryan Simmons, Tahmina Khatun, Regi Whitehouse and Nathan Haycox are pictured in the newly opened wood.
