PARTYGOERS are invited to share in a magical event on midsummer's night, Friday, June 21, at Stanway House. The event is the brainchild of Judith Lusty, vice-president of The National Autistic Society (NAS), who is donating all proceeds from the event to the charity.
The evening will begin at 7.30pm with a champagne reception to be followed by a supper and feature a jazz band quintet led by Bob Wilbur, one of the world's greatest clarinet players. The after-dinner talk will be given by Jane Asher, president of the NAS, who will talk about her life and the work she has done for those with NAS.
Mrs Lusty is looking for local sponsors and donations to help fund the event and can be contacted on 01386 840379. Tickets cost £60.
