To start the May meeting, a minute's silence was held in memory of Yvonne Ward, a committee member who died recently.
Greta Mitchell, WI adviser, was on hand to help with the resolutions which will go forward to the intermediate meeting. Members voted in favour of two resolutions - on small local abattoirs, and the importation of food stuffs.
A card designed by J Hobson was chosen to send to the Queen on her Golden Jubilee.
A quiz on flowers, used as a fund-raiser for WI funds, was won by Anne Cocum.
The next meeting will be on Monday in the parish room, starting at 7.30pm.
The speaker will be John Powell, on Clockwork Toys.
