Details were finalised for the group jubilee celebration at the town hall today.
The main part of the meeting was spent discussing the two resolutions, both of which were supported. One is for the Government to support small existing abattoirs and to promote the re-establishing of more local ones to minimise the stress caused to livestock and the spreading of diseases. The other is that pressure should be put on the Government to impose stricter controls over the importing of food stuffs. Proposed changes to the constitution were also discussed.
