OUTGOING Bewdley mayor Carol Gittins presented the schoolchildren of today with a memento to treasure for years to come to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
More than 1,000 commemorative mugs were handed over to children at St Anne's and Wribbenhall first and middle schools after the town council agreed to spend more than £2,300 on the china souvenirs to mark the occasion. St Anne's Middle School pupils Richard Spalding, 12, Rosabel Togher, 11 and 13-year-old Emma Stevens are pictured receiving their mementoes by outgoing mayor Carol Gittins.
