VISITORS to Bewdley Museum will be able to catch a glimpse of the Queen who has gone on display until the end of the season.

The life-size effigy of Elizabeth II in full Coronation regalia including crown, sceptre and orb has been created using traditional techniques of corn dolly making. David Packwood is pictured with the sculpture of the Queen.

The figure has been designed and built by traditional craftsman David Packwood and his wife Kathy with the help of youngsters who visited the museum over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Queen was made during a series of workshops held over three days at the Load Street site as part of a programme of jubilee-themed activities.

Also on display is a showcase featuring memorabilia from the Coronation.
