YEAR six football stars at Comberton Middle School followed up a district cup trophy with county success.
They beat Redditch opponents St Bede's 4-2 in Droitwich Spa to become the county champions weeks after defeating St Anne's of Bewdley 2-0 in the North Worcestershire competition.
Their squad was Scott Craik, Wesley Chater, James Ray, Verone Lancaster, Aaron Dickens, James Spragg, James Legg, Jonathan Moore, Daniel Hammond, Tom Southall, Dan Holmes, Tom Whatmore, Simon Davies and Michael Wardle.
The year five pupils at the Kidderminster school shared the district trophy with Aston Fields of Bromsgrove after a 1-1 draw.
