CHILDREN at a Stourport first school joined in the jubilee fun by holding a playground party.

Wilden All Saints First School held the jamboree on Friday. "We had picnic foods and all the children made crowns to wear," said head teacher Joy White.

"We released 200 balloons in a balloon race to see which could travel the furthest. There was a magician to entertain the children, and they had their faces painted either as a clown or the Union Jack. And an assistant dressed up as the Queen!" Children at Wilden All Saints First School are pictured watching the magic show during their jubilee celebrations.

The school has also marked the royal occasion by providing a display for the Oxfam shop in Stourport High Street.

"We've raised money for Oxfam as a school in the past and they asked us to put a display in the window," said Mrs White.

"There was work from every year group - pictures, models of thrones, drawings and crowns."
