RBL: The April meeting of Badsey, Aldington and Wickhamford branch, women's section of the Royal British Legion was substituted to a 'Spring Fare' with a variety of goods for sale, numerous stalls, and raffles taking place.
The May meeting was hectic and extremely well supported, this being due to the influx of about 15 members from the Broadway branch which regrettably, due to lack of officers, closed in April 2002.
No entertainment was organised as the report from National Conference needed to be read to the members and with a group of new ladies (we usually only get additions to our membership in ones or twos) needed to make them feel welcome.
The June meeting usually takes the form of a garden party, but this year being the Jubilee HQ have asked branches to hold a 'golden event'.
This will take place in June as a golden tea party held outside (in the Legion car park) weather permitting, with appropriate entertainment.
