A DAY centre for severely disabled people in Worcester is opening its doors to the public to raise awareness and funds.
Unity House, in Stanley Road, is having its open day on Sunday, June 9 from 11am until 4pm.
The centre is hoping people will drop in to support the unit and to find out more about its work.
Among the attractions will be a barbecue and beer tent and plenty of fund-raising activities.
All the money raised will help support the centre and allow its ongoing projects to continue.
"We've built an IT centre and we're now in partnership with the Sixth Form College," said Ted Williams, chairman of the Friends of Unity House.
"Not only do we have people from the college come to see us, but we can offer computer courses.
"We've also built a dance floor for our wheelchair line-dancing team who perform all over the county.
"People don't realise that we're here because we're tucked away.
"We're hoping they will come along and find out more as well as help us keep our projects going."
There will also be a cake stall, tombola and a live band, as well as arts and crafts made by the users of the centre.
