STORIES of life at the turn of the last century were heard at a Worcester museum as children gathered to be entertained during the half-term holiday.
The Museum of Local Life, in Friar Street, played host to a storytelling morning.
Children heard all about the Griffin family, who lived in Worcester in 1905.
Gwen Williams narrated two stories, which are told as seen through the eyes of a child.
They were called All Saturday and Nora Finds A Friend.
The Griffin family lived in Back Court, in the Blockhouse district of Worcester. Their kitchen is now in the Museum of Local Life.
Children also heard a story written especially for the museum by Ms Williams about two children and an archaeologist and their discoveries in the city.
"This was a wonderful opportunity to hear original stories told by the author," said Nicole Burnett, social history officer at Worcester City Council.
