LAST Wednesday evening the Evesham Wheelers hosted the inter-club ten-mile Time Trial against the Stratford Cycling Club on a course based aro-und Salford Priors.
In difficult, windy conditions and with a threat of rain, Stratford were worthy winners with the best cumulative time for their six riders.
Evesham & District had some consolation in being the Veteran Team winners. The challenge will be resumed with Stratford as hosts on August 14.
The first six Evesham riders were Brian Newton (22.59), Ian Likeman (23.40), Lee Perry (24.00), Rudi Lightert (24.14), Phil Pollard (24.26) and Andy Bolton (24.35).
The first six Stratford riders were Steve Faulkner (22.20), Simon Phillips (22.55), Trevor Acreman (23.15), Graham Chandler (23.51), Mike Carty (24.09) and Nigel Jones (24.18).
