DEAR EDITOR - I wish to thank the people of Droitwich Spa and the surrounding villages who gave so generously to our recent street and house to house collections.
We are also indebted to the help given us by the members of the Bromsgrove branch of the RNLI.
The total amount collected was £463.52 street collection and £1,044.72 house to house.
During the year 2001/2 the Droitwich Guild has raised £5,434.00 towards the running costs of the RNLI, a magnificent sum for a small town so far from the sea.
The RNLI exists wholly from voluntary contributions and every penny collected goes towards the wonderful work our brave lifeboatmen do.
Mrs Andrea Bolton,
chairman,
Droitwich Ladies
Lifeboat Guild.
