DEAR EDITOR - In reply to David Jones (Letters May 22), I agree with what he said about the Westlands, in Droitwich Spa. I, along with my husband, have lived on the estate for 13 years and we wouldn't live anywhere else.
True, we might have the occasional disturbance - what estate doesn't? I maintain that if anything big happens, and because Droitwich is a small town, it is noticed more. But if we lived in one of the major cities where crime is happening all the time, we wouldn't take notice.
I see that the people who do all the moaning have got nothing else to do - if they were to join in with the activities on the estate or run a group for some of the youths, they would have a surprise!
They would find that the youths they moan about to be a very nice bunch of kids.
Just for the record - I have walked through the Westlands estate at night after visiting friends, and have felt safer at night than during the day!
Mrs C A Simmonds,
Shepherds Place,
Westlands, Droitwich.
