AVONCROFT CC Seconds recorded a losing draw at Old Halesonians on Saturday.
Fielding first, Croft battled hard to dismiss their hosts off the last ball of their 50 overs for 154.
Captain Guy Weston and Rob Holden both took three wickets each.
In reply, Croft lost three early wickets before a mature performance from young Luke Townsend helped to stabilise the innings.
Another flurry of wickets left Croft on 63-7.
It needed 31 not out from Weston, ably supported by Wayne Pugh (23), to finish on 128-8 and hang on for a draw.
