TOWN residents are being urged to don their best hats when a high profile event comes to Bromsgrove in the name of charity.
The Royal Ascot Ladies' Day, sponsored by clothes store Cello, in the Strand, will take place in the grounds of Grafton Manor, in Grafton Lane, on Thursday June 20.
All proceeds will go to the Primrose Hospice and Cancer Help Centre in Finstall.
The event will start at 11am with a champagne reception, a royal race day lunch, limousines, and entertainment by the Brian Hadley Trio.
Del Boy impersonator Stephan Feix will be clerk of the course, with live coverage and an on-course bookmaker.
The day will end with afternoon tea and after race entertainment from Gary James.
