A TERRIFIED 17-year-old escaped from a sex attacker and ran off towards Cofton Park after a night-time ordeal.
Police are hunting the attacker who posed as a cab driver to pick up the youth from outside Birmingham Hippodrome at around 3.30am.
The boy asked to be taken home but the driver, who said he was Iranian, took him instead to Groveley Lane, in Longbridge.
The driver trapped him in the vehicle with the central locking system and carried out a serious indecent assault but the youth put up a furious struggle and escaped.
The bogus cabbie, who was in his late 20s or early 30s and had Elvis Presley style black hair, sped away in his dark coloured saloon.
It is thought to have PJL in the registration and a pair of miniature boxing gloves hanging from the mirror.
Police have this week appealed for witnesses to the attack on Sunday, April 14 to come forward. Call 0121 626 6690.
