REIGNING British Superbike Champion John Reynolds claims it is only a matter of time before he wins his first race of the season.

The Rizla Suzuki rider took his GSX-R1000 to second place in the first race at Snetterton and then declared himself a lot happier after a poor season so far.

Reynolds was challenging for the lead on lap nine of race two when he lost the front end of his bike going into the slow left-hand Russell Bend on the approach to the finish straight.

Sean Emmett (Ducati) won both races but Reynolds, who was unhurt in the fall, admitted he was upset not to finish.

He said: "The bike was running well and the speed down the back straight was good.

"I was fighting for the lead and I was braking hard into Russells when the front went away as I was changing direction.

"We are trying very hard to win races and this sort of thing happens. It only strengthens our will to win."
