JAN Molby could face a midfield dilemma for the Division Three home game with Macclesfield Town on Tuesday.

With skipper Mark Blake set to miss the rest of the season after surgery on an Achilles problem, midfield general Danny Williams was stretchered off with a knee injury at Swansea on Tuesday night.

Missed chances cost Harriers as they lost 2-1 and Richie Appleby picked up his fifth yellow card of the season which is likely to mean a one-match ban later this month.

Molby's men are still well placed just below the play-off zone in 11th position but may be without Williams, who had six stitches to a bad cut, for the Macclesfield clash on Tuesday (7.45pm).

If he is ruled out Sam Shilton would be an option after shaking off a groin injury. Ben Davies would also come into the reckoning.

Molby admitted after the Swansea game: "In the last 24 hours, we have lost two of our most influential midfielders in Blake and Williams.

"We also have Bo Henriksen who is still struggling with his groin and hamstring. However, we did enough in the first half to win two or three away games, never mind one.

"We should have been able to get on the coach at half-time and go home. It's an inability to score goals and we're not talking half-chances. Apart from the goal, we had four one-on-ones.

"They scored a freak goal to equalise, it just hit their player, and that gave Swansea a lift they didn't deserve then we've allowed them to score a scruffy winner."

Harriers have marked Henriksen's much-awaited permanent signing late last week with Tuesday's defeat and Saturday's 2-2 draw at home to improving Carlisle.

The Danish forward, 27, has signed a two-and-a-half year contract after leaving Herfolge for an undisclosed five-figure fee.

Meanwhile, Harriers youth team play the biggest game in their history next Wednesday when they visit Nottingham Forest in the FA Youth Cup fifth round.

Kick-off is 7pm and the club hopes to run a supporters coach. Anyone interested can call 01562 823931.
