GREAT Dane Bo Henriksen has rallied the troops for Saturday's Division Three encounter by declaring: "This is the most important game since I've been here".

Kidderminster Harriers take on Hartlepool United at Aggborough with both sides desperate for the points to stay in play-off contention.

And Jan Molby's Harriers beat another challenger Shrewsbury Town 1-0 on Tuesday to end a run of three defeats and five games without a win.

Henriksen, a revelation in midfield during that game, feels achieving a play-off place with his new club will rank alongside his Danish Super League title triumph with Herfolge.

He said: "We need to win on Saturday, it's as simple as that. We don't want to lose any more points.

"We have to string together three or four wins in a row and Hartlepool are just above us.

"I would class it as a six-point game and if we lose it, it's going to make things very difficult.

"It's probably the most important game I will have played over here."

Henriksen insisted all the players were focussed on making the top seven, especially after their disappointing run, though Harriers were unlucky to lose 2-1 at leaders Plymouth on Saturday.

He added: "The play-offs are everybody's goal and we're trying to work together to make that happen.

"The media is a bit more intense in England and everyone talks about football here. It doesn't matter whether you're five or 99-years-old.

"Everyone goes crazy about it and I would like to experience what it is like if we make the play-offs.

"It was good when I won the Danish championship but it's so different over here."

Henriksen has not been training for the last few months due to a hamstring problem which troubled him again on Tuesday.

But his mental strength is likely to help him make Saturday's game with midfield general Danny Williams (knee) set to return.

Manager Molby still believes his team can make the play-offs but creative influence Richie Appleby is still another three weeks away with a hamstring strain.

He said: "Tuesday was a good three points and we have made sure we are still in there for the play-offs.

"It's still a long shot but we have given ourselves a chance.

"If Shrewsbury are still in the race then we are.

"I know we are five points behind them but they have a difficult game at Rochdale on Saturday and we have a very difficult match at home to Hartlepool.

"But we have our games in hand and we'll get more players back from injury.

"Danny will be back for Saturday and Richie is three weeks away, so if we can keep it boiling we have a chance.

"If we can find our form again like in the second half against Shrewsbury then we are going to be a handful for anyone."

Harriers head to Oxford United's The Kassam Stadium for the first time in Division Three on Tuesday (7.45pm).
