SPORTS EDITOR'S MAILBAG
WITH regard to the resignation of Jan Molby, I have no wish to minimise his contribution to Kidderminster Harriers, nor do I deny his right to try and better himself.
However, I am concerned at the spurious circumstances of his departure and my lasting memory will be of him appearing on television with two years of his contract still to run, and stating that he had no plans to leave, when clearly he had every intention of walking out later that same day.
In the final analysis, there is no doubt he deserted the fans who had faithfully supported him throughout.
The words devious and mercenary would not be out of place in this scenario.
Whatever happened to loyalty?
