MONTHS of planning came to fruition as hundreds of children and adults took part in celebrations to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Warndon Parish Council's events come to a climax next week with its fun run, but yesterday all eyes were on the magician.
He was just one of the entertainers at the jubilee party at the Lyppard Grange Community Centre.
"It's been several months of organisation," said Andrew Philpott, of Warndon Parish Council.
"We're just grateful to the community centre staff for helping us.
"It's encouraging that people are coming up to the centre. It's been absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is incredible."
The centre is only legally able to hold 300 people and tickets for the party sold out quickly.
"We can't take any more but we could have sold twice as many tickets. We were inundated with calls for them."
Although events inside the community centre were for ticket-holders only, people without tickets were still able to become involved, with plenty of stalls put up outside for their enjoyment.
There was a balloon race, pig roast and George Huxley's Jazz Quartet to keep people entertained.
"After looking at the children who've come in fancy dress we've decided to hold an ad hoc fancy dress competition," said Mr Philpott, who lives in Fotheringhay, Berkeley Heywood.
