RUNNERS taking part in this year's London Marathon are expected to have raised more than £11,000 for St Richard's Hospice in Worcester, and the efforts of the seven competitors were acknowledged at a reception at the Rose Hill premises.
Tricia Cavell, manager, community fund-raising, said: "All our runners are so dedicated. Two of them, Thomas Bloomfield and John Reakes, from Pershore, are going on to run the New York Marathon in November on behalf of St Richard's and we have got runners for the 2003 London Marathon already committed, including myself."
She said they were always happy to have more runners and anyone interested could contact her on 01905 763693.
