A COLOURFUL, all-singing and dancing performance of Scrooge is about to hit the boards at the Norbury Theatre.

Based on Dickens' A Christmas Carol, the traditional winter performance has been unusually dropped into the middle of June.

But as theatre secretary Jonathan Yeldham reveals, there is still a festive feel to the Droitwich venue.

"This musical is always extremely popular with adults and children, so we thought why not show it in summer for a change," he said.

"We've got a Christmas tree in the foyer and lots of tinsel and decorations, so it should be a great performance and a jolly good laugh."

The production runs from Thursday, June 13, until Saturday, June 15, at 7.30pm (plus Saturday, June 15, at 2.30pm).

And from Wednesday, June 19, until Saturday, June 22, at 7.30pm (plus Saturday, June 22 at 2.30pm).

All performances are £8/£7 concessions. For tickets call the box office on 01905 770154.
