VISITORS will be able to step back in time when a Victorian country fair comes to Witley Court.

Families will be able to have lots of fun when they have a go on traditional Victorian swings for adults and children at Witley Court, near Great Witley.

A Victorian craft and trade fair, homemade soaps and children's games will also be up for grabs.

Music and entertainment from the Victorian music hall is presented by costumed duo Hautbois.

Visitors will be able to sing along to period favourites such as Soldiers of the Queen, Oh Mr Porter, Daddy Wouldn't Buy Me A Bow Wow and the Man who Broke the Bank of Monte Carlo.

"It's going to be good family fun and entertainment," said a spokeswoman for English Heritage.

"It's also going to be educational for youngsters.

"It will be useful for children studying the Victorian period at school."

The event, which is set to open at noon, takes place on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.

Admission price is £5.60 for adults, £4.20 concessions and £2.80 for children (but is free for under fives).

Family tickets are £14.
