GRADUATES considering moving into teaching can give teaching a short, sharp try without committing themselves in an initiative being mounted by University College, Worcester, and supported by the Teacher Training Agency.
UCW is running a taster course in secondary teaching from Monday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 19, which will include one day in a local school environment, to give graduates considering a move into teaching the chance to get a flavour of what is on offer and the rewards that can be gained.
"It can be daunting to consider a move into teaching but this short course will give those considering the move a chance to sample the environment and learn about the realities of secondary teaching," said UCW tutor John Sears.
Places can be booked through Gwyneth Smith on 01905 855070 or e-mail g.smith@worc.ac.uk.
