A WOMAN fell victim to a thief as she walked along Evesham High Street between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Thursday . The thief opened her bag and stole a black leather wallet containing £35 in cash and various credit cards.
Now crime risk manager PC Mike Stephenson has urged shoppers to take care. He said: "It is best to carry any bag close to the body with the clasp facing inwards. You should always try to keep your bank cards separate from your chequebooks as a thief needs both to write a cheque and pin numbers should never be kept in a purse or bag as the thief would be able to access your bank account."
